Complete guide on how to fix your warcraft 3 registry error which you get during upgrading your warcraft 3 tft patch game. Simple instructions are mentioned below which need to be followed inorder to upgrade your warcraft 3 registry error and help upgrade your warcraft patch. Some of you maybe getting the Registry error loading key ‘Warcraft III\InstallPath’ Error when trying to install 1.24d patch. This is a common issue when you do a copy paste of your game from another directory, always recomended to do a fresh install of the game when you format your pc. You can manually also do this if only you have a legit copy of your warcraft 3 game by running the Windows Registry Editor.
Guide How to fix / make Warcraft 3 Registry Entries to avoid the registry error:
1. Open up regedit (start > run > regedit)
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\
3. Create new key, name it ‘Warcraft III’ (without quotes)
4. On right side of new key entry, right click and create new string value
5. Name it ‘InstallPath’ (without quotes)
6. Change the value of InstallPath to wherever you installed it (example: ‘c:\warcraft 3\’)
7. Reinstall Warcraft 1.24d Patch. (this time your war3 will be installed without any errors)
8. DONE! your Warcraft is now patched to 1.24d
